UNOA 2009 $1000 SCHOLARSHIP
INFORMATION
The UNOA will be awarding 3 $1000 scholarships in 2009. It is UNOA’s way of giving
back to the members for the support you have given UNOA over the past year.
To qualify for one of these scholarships
the applicant must meet the following:
1-Be a current member in good standing with UNOA and his/her agency if still employed
in law enforcement. The spouse, child, or grandchild of the current UNOA in good standing.
2-The applicant who
is requesting the scholarship needs to complete an essay containing the following information:

What school they have attended and their GPA
• What degree they are working towards
•
Which college/university will they be attending
• Why they are deserving of the scholarship
• Any other information the applicant feels the judges should be aware of
•
If the applicant is a member of UNOA or how the applicant is related to the UNOA member
Scholarship applications
need to be received by UNOA by November 14th, 2009, so the past presidents of UNOA can review the applications and make a
decision on who will be awarded the 3 scholarships. Once a decision is made, UNOA will mail the $1000.00 scholarship directly
to the college, university or institution in the name of the recipient.
