President’s Message
Greetings,
My name is Dusty Veater, and I am honored to serve as this year's President of the UtahNarcotics Officer’s Association. UNOA was established in 1991 with the goal of providing exceptional training for all narcotics-related topics and fostering collaboration among officers investigating these crimes.
The year 2026 marks our 35th anniversary, and it is my objective to not only sustain our established mission but also to significantly enhance our training initiatives and foster collaboration among professionals across all sectors of law enforcement. Our annual training conference in August will feature high-quality training sessions in areas such as interdiction, criminal informant management, legal updates, FIDO, and various other topics. We will also host an awards banquet to recognize outstanding narcotics officers from across the state.
The UNOA maintains a Benevolent Fund designed to provide immediate financial assistance to the families of fallen officers within the state of Utah. To support this vital program, UNOA organizes an annual golf tournament in Northern Utah. We encourage all individuals to attend or contribute to this event to aid these families during their most difficult periods. While we regret the necessity of this fund, Utah unfortunately remains susceptible to such violent acts.
I would like to express my gratitude to all past and future supporters of our organization and respectfully request your continued support of our mission. Our goal is to train and equipOfficers to enhance community safety by persistently addressing the drug problem within our state.
Respectfully,
